Occassionally things in the back of my mind jump to the front and refuse to be subdued as easily as before. More recently ... thoughts of challenges or obstacles I will most likely face once in the Caspian. Questions and doubts such as - "Will I be able to handle living without the strong Christian community I am surrounded by now?" "What about being alone?" I thrive on people interaction. "Will I succumb to depression when it gets cold and things aren't going as planned?" - and I am sure there are more.
However, coming across this passage subdued them yet again:
"Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be [wo]men of courage; be strong. Do everything in love." ~ 1 Corinthians 16:14
Julie,

Know that all this will pass and you will look back at the courage you had, the wonderful life lessons learned and you wouldn't trade it for anything! What seems like a long time becomes just a blip as our lives march onward. I'm excited for you! Keeping you in prayer--Mattie
