Either Indiana has a tighter hold on me than I thought ... or God has something else in mind than what I had originally planned.
I think I will choose the latter. :)
I was suppose to fly out of Indy yesterday afternoon, but do to some unforeseen roadblocks set up by the airlines, I stood in the airport for a couple of hours emotionally, mentally and physically ready to leave, but not being allowed to.
Weird feeling ... one of being somewhere physically you hadn't pictured, but being somewhere else mentally, while emotionally distant at the same time ... probably as close as I will personally get to experiencing the Twilight Zone! (a fantastic show by the way ... the older ones)
But there have been blessings to come of it.
-spending more time with my parents and brother
-visited my grandparents / surprise visit from my cousin
-able to repack
-able to eat one last mom's homemade apple pie
God's sovereign ... can't wait to see what's next!
Julie......How awesome is our God! You are getting a 'fix' for your addiction! I'm so happy for you and wanted to let you know that I stuck a pic of you and I on my fridge. We are at Hilltop with orange peels in our mouths, hamming it up for the camera. Remember that week? I carried you around piggy back for part of the week; I think just because you jumped on and I said, "What the heck!!" LOL. I posted the pic so that while I'm on the computer doing 'busy' stuff, I will pray for you and the people you will come in contact with. I know our God has wonderful plans for you. God bless you as you trust Him. Janis
ReplyDeleteJulie,
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to let you know that you are in my thoughts and prayers today. I pray that God would use you in AMAZING ways to share His love and truth with the Azeri people and that you would be bold and make the most of EVERY opportunity. I love your heart for the Lord and appreciate your willingness to risk much so that others may come to know HIM!
Here's a verse for you to meditate on today.
It's one of my personal favorites:
1st Cor. 15:58- Therefore my brothers (sister)stand firm. Let NOTHING move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
May you always remember that nothing you do for Him, no matter how insignificant it may seem, is wasted!
